Now, let’s open up the feelings and thoughts from Saturday's postcard festival 😊 First of all, I have to say that it was by a hair's breadth that the event almost got cancelled for me due to Thursday's events 🫣 Well, on Saturday morning I was up bright and early at 6 o’clock like the early bird looking for that famous worm, so I could get everything done before leaving 😅👌 Stuff into the car and towards Lahti. The place wasn’t familiar to me beforehand, so I had to guess a bit where things were, and of course, I felt a little nervous about whether I would get symptoms suggesting mold exposure or not?
When arriving at the event space, the reception was really warm and friendly. Honestly, I was even a bit confused by it 😄 Name tag on my chest and time to set up my own sales booth. The devoted atmosphere that prevailed there at that moment is really challenging to describe; it was something truly wonderful. Like a paused, warm moment. ☺️ I knew then that I was meant to be exactly there at that time.
I was at the event as a new artist, but I was positively surprised by the joy that the art I created sparked in people 🥰 At the same time, I thought about my previous trips where I had been exhibiting and whether I had just always been in the wrong place collecting comments like “get a real job.” This festival beat those clunky comments 100%. 🥰🙌 I met wonderful people, talked a lot about my art, told stories behind the pieces, and sparked a lot of joy. I have to mention, by the way, that there were other suns present too ☀️ It’s great to notice how light just shines from some people with just a smile. ☺️☀️❤️
After the event, I was completely drained and fell asleep on the couch as soon as I got home.
But all in all, the event was rewarding, warm, and soulful👌👏☀️ A thousand thanks again to the organizers 💙☺️
